Sassan Sanei: I grew up in Toronto, moving to Waterloo in 1991 to study at the University of Waterloo, where I obtained my B.A.Sc. in Electrical Engineering as well as my B.A. in Philosophy. From 1996 to 2012, I devoted my career to Research In Motion (RIM; now BlackBerry). Together with an amazing and talented group of very gifted people, we went on to change the world, one BlackBerry at a time. Today, I am CTO of ArtyArt Ltd., a tech startup building a social marketplace for digital art. I continue to live in Kitchener-Waterloo with my two young children, Ryan and Megan, who inspire me every day.
