A passing thought that really did not need to occur to me; not at this point in my life, anyway

So here I am, sitting at my desk at work, enjoying a tasty bottle of pure fresh spring water.

I am doing something good for my taste buds, because I don't like the taste of chloramine. (Chloramine is chlorine + ammonia, and is used as a disinfectant in municipal tap water.)

As I sip my water, I marvel at its natural source. The elegant simplicity of taking water from a free-flowing natural spring and putting it into a bottle, versus treating unclean lake water and running it through underground pipes all the way to my sink.

I drift off into a daydream. I envision a mountain spring, the dewy leaves, the fresh breeze, the chirping of birds, and I wonder to myself...

Just how many animals upstream peed into the spring?!

Why did this thought have to occur to me? Why? Why??!

I really didn't need this today.

I feel your pain. I was addicted to Fiji water. Very expensive, supposedly taken straight from a stream.. then I realized, how many natives peed in that stream??

I no longer drink Fiji water.
